DR. EVIN LYONS

Dr. Evin Lyons’ veterinary journey began long before she graduated from veterinary school. She has always loved animals and has worked with them since she was young. Dr. Lyons attended Hamilton College- a liberal arts college in Central New York- where she majored in Hispanic Studies and minored in Biology. After graduating in 2010, she was accepted to the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, obtaining her DVM in 2014. Following veterinary school, Dr. Lyons pursued a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, NY. She spent one year focusing on Emergency Medicine, among other specialty rotations. Coincidentally, this was also where she met Dr. Rick Lyons. The rest is history!

Since then, Dr. Lyons has worked at several general practices in New York and New Jersey, as well as working part-time as a Veterinary Geneticist for Embark- a canine DNA company! She served on the board of a local animal shelter and has a special interest in dentistry and dermatology.

Dr. Lyons loves to keep busy and has worked remotely on talent acquisition and developing content for websites and social media platforms.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Lyons enjoys exercising, cooking, DIY home improvement projects, crafting of all kinds, and singing (she used to be in a 90s-2000s cover band!). She loves spending time with the other Dr. Lyons, their son Nathaniel, their adorable cat, Lira, and “her firstborn”- a dachshund named Pringles!
